Hi, I'm Luke, founder of New Build Assist. My entire career—over 20 years of it—has been spent on the tools and behind the scenes of Australia's building and property industry. I’ve seen the best of it, and I've seen where good people are let down by a process that is often confusing and stressful.
My passion for creating a better building experience is personal. In 2006, my own dream home build turned into a nightmare of costly mistakes and poor communication. That first-hand experience exposed a desperate need for a supportive service that was truly independent from building companies—an advocate who sits on the homeowner's side of the table.
I started New Build Assist to be that advocate. I use my extensive industry knowledge to ensure you can build with confidence, not complication, and create a quality-built home that perfectly matches your lifestyle and budget.

We also do the heavy lifting of conducting rigorous due diligence on builders to ensure they meet our high standards for quality, financial stability, and communication.
An Unyielding Commitment to Quality: We believe you deserve a home built to the highest standards. That's why a core part of our service is arranging and paying for comprehensive, independent building inspections at every critical stage of construction. These third-party checks provide true peace of mind and help catch potential issues before they become major problems, protecting your biggest investment.
Expert Advocacy at No Cost to You: Our expert guidance and inspection coordination are provided at absolutely no cost to you. We are paid a referral fee by the builder you select, which comes from their marketing budget and does not increase your build cost. We then invest a portion of this fee back into your project by covering the independent inspections. It's a transparent model designed to deliver you more value, not more cost.
